ABOUT

Darrell Arne, Managing Director Emeritus, brings a broad range of financial skills and deal making experience.

He obtained his accounting degree from Southern Illinois University.  After a stint in the Army, he continued working in the CPA profession with large accounting firms (RSM McGladrey and KPMG), and as a sole practitioner.  As a licensed CPA for over 40 years, he’s serviced the privately held business owner in a wide variety of industries providing tax, accounting, and consulting services. For a time, he held the FINRA Series 79 and 63 Licenses, and is currently a Real Estate Qualifying Broker in the State of New Mexico.

Throughout his career, Darrell focused his attention on educating both business owners and their trusted advisors.  He developed and delivered nearly 200 presentations nationwide surrounding topics dealing with the purchase and sale of businesses to include business valuation, transition planning, M&A tax strategies, maximizing business value, and other related topics. Darrell has authored over 40 articles on various M&A topics, to include a quarterly newsletter he published for 20 years.

Seeking to expand his knowledge of what makes businesses valuable, he became an Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation with the American Society of Appraisers, appraising businesses in several industries for 25 years.  He came to realize his passion was as a transaction intermediary, and joined the Alliance of M&A Advisors in becoming a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor.
