George Petrulis serves as Managing Director Emeritus. Since 1974 Mr. Petrulis has been a financial advisor to corporations, family owned companies, institutional and private investors. His primary focus is on business sales, acquisitions, mergers and divestitures. He has a demonstrable track record of successfully completing transactions entailing a wide array of clients in integrated direct marketing, manufacturing, distribution, and service industries. His specialty is providing personalized custom designed strategic M&A buy-side advisory services on behalf of strategic acquirers and private equity groups. Prior to joining Blue River, Mr. Petrulis was Managing Partner of Kensington Services, Inc. a middle market M&A firm.

Mr. Petrulis is a popular speaker to professional groups on M&A subjects dealing with business sales, growth through acquisition strategies, and the benefits of professional M&A advisory to privately held companies. He is also a nationally recognized instructor who leads educational seminars and workshops for M&A intermediaries on a regional and national basis.

He has held many professional leadership positions in the M&A industry. He was elected 2006 Chairman of M&A Source, a leading national association made up exclusively of M&A intermediaries. He was also member of the Board of Directors (2005, 2006 and 2007) of the International Business Brokers Association. In addition, has been twice elected President of the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries Association for 2001and 2002.

Mr. Petrulis has been awarded the highly coveted designation of Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI) by M&A Source. This designation has become the recognized symbols of professionalism in the industry. In 2007 he was the recipient of the prestigious Darrel Fouts M&A Source award. This award is presented annually to an M&A Source member who has shown exceptional leadership and has made generous contributions to the association.
