Shane Brotherton
ABOUT
Shane Brotherton, Director, works directly with clients to identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition opportunities in the middle market. He engages with business owners, creates executive summaries, and manages the deal process from initial outreach through close to ensure successful outcomes for all parties.
Before joining Blue River, Shane spent over a decade in commercial banking. As a Relationship Manager, he served lower middle-market business owners, delivering credit solutions and strategic advisory. He began his banking career as an underwriter.
Shane earned his B.A. in Finance from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business in 2014, after graduating from Mott Community College’s Honors Program, where he was an Academic All-American student-athlete. In 2024, he earned the Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) designation from the Alliance of M&A Advisors (AM&AA).
Outside of work, Shane enjoys dinners with his wife and friends, reading non-fiction, staying active, and playing golf.
