September 28, 2023 – Blue River welcomed five more team members in Q3 of 2023. Sean Burns, Michael Herrmann, Randy Babi and Troy Berglund have joined our M&A Advisory team, and Vanna Flahn is the latest addition to our Research department.
Sean Burns joined Blue River as Director. Sean previously served as Chief Strategist for an integrated media advisor and also spent over a decade in leadership roles involving the valuation and brokerage of mortgage-related assets. He earned both a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado. Sean brings over 30 years of driving strategies that deliver results.

Michael Herrmann joined Blue River as Director. Michael brings over 20 years of experience in M&A and successfully closed numerous transactions in a wide variety of markets. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from the University of Houston. He also became a Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) through the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA) in 2020.

Randy Babi joined Blue River as Vice President. Randy is a seasoned business owner and technology enthusiast. He earned a BA in Political Science from Wayne State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, with a specialized focus on counseling and negotiation. He is licensed to practice in Michigan and the Federal courts. Randy previously worked at Ford Motor Company as IT Contracts Manager.

Troy Berglund joined Blue River as Vice President. Troy brings experience in leadership, communication, global affairs, analytical research, and decision-making. He received a BA in Economics and a minor in Chinese from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Troy previously worked as an Air Force Intelligence officer and led countless targeting missions and teams to achieve strategic military objectives.

Vanna Flahn joined Blue River as Research Analyst. Vanna brings over 10 years of experience in Data and Financial Analysis, Customer Experience and Process Improvement. Vanna has always had a passion for working with various types of data and providing thorough analysis and insights.
