October 13, 2026 – Blue River Financial Group announced a promotion and welcomed a new team member in Q3 of 2026. The buy-side division promoted Jason Warner to Managing Director & Software / Technology Segment Leader, and the sell-side welcomed Austin Ursuy, Senior Investment Banking Analyst. Both moves reflect the firm’s continued investment in the talent driving its buy-side and sell-side advisory practices forward.
Jason Warner, Managing Director & Software / Technology Segment Leader, is a seasoned enterprise SaaS and M&A growth executive with over 20 years of experience leading the acquisition, integration, and transformation of more than 80 companies. At Blue River, Jason partners with private equity firms, SMB owners, and strategic acquirers—particularly in the industrial automation and high-growth SaaS sectors—to support and drive successful inorganic growth strategies. Prior to joining Blue River, Jason served in executive roles supporting PE-backed platforms, including as Vice President of Sales & Client Success at Access Information Management and Director of Sales at Shred-it. Jason attended the University of Michigan and Olivet Nazarene University for undergrad studies.
“Jason has earned this opportunity through the way he consistently steps up, takes ownership, and helps the people around him succeed,” said Michael Herrmann, Managing Director & Buy-side Practice Leader. “Jason has become a trusted resource for our advisors and research team, particularly around outreach strategy, owner conversations, and how we use our systems more effectively. Just as importantly, he has the respect of his peers. I’m looking forward to working closely with Jason as he takes on this leadership role.”
Austin Ursuy, Senior Investment Banking Analyst, supports deal execution through financial analysis, financial modeling, development of marketing materials, industry research, and administrative coordination. Prior to joining Blue River, Austin spent two years with PNC Bank in Corporate & Institutional Banking, where he gained experience in debt financing, credit underwriting, transaction structuring and execution, and relationship development across middle-market and large corporate clients. Austin earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Detroit Mercy and is currently pursuing his MBA in Finance at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Evan Haigh, Managing Director, said “Austin brings a strong combination of technical skill and real-world credit experience that makes him a valuable addition to our deal teams. His background in underwriting and transaction structuring at PNC gives him a practical understanding of how buyers, lenders, and owners evaluate a deal, and it shows in the quality of his financial analysis and modeling. We’re pleased to have Austin on the team, and we look forward to supporting him as he continues to grow with Blue River.”
Blue River congratulates Jason and Austin on these well-earned milestones and looks forward to the clarity and expertise they’ll continue to bring to clients navigating their most important business decisions.
