June 8, 2022 – Blue River further expands its team with new talent added to the Sell-Side, Buy-Side, and HR divisions. Jack Zollinger, David Lipman, Stephanie Studt and Maryann Hagan joined our organization in Q2 of 2022, bringing decades of invaluable expertise, highly specialized knowledge, and unmatched credentials.

Jack Zollinger joined Blue River’s Sell-Side Division in April, as Director. Jack earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (with honors) from NC State University and an MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth. He is a former advisory board member of the Raymond Miles Foundation for Business Appraisal Research at the Institute of Business Appraisers. Jack is also a retired nuclear-trained US Navy submarine officer with an Intelligence subspecialty. Jack is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registered broker-dealer representative (Series 7, 79 and 63), former Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI), and former Certified Business Intermediary (CBI).

David Lipman joined Blue River’s Buy-Side Division in April, as Director. David has a unique entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and business development background. For 20+ years, he was the Principal and CEO of one of the Midwest’s top medical device distribution and training organizations. David was very active in acquiring complementary assets to increase revenue, product portfolio, and territory expansion during that time. He has over 15 years of M&A experience and over 25 years of business leadership and strategic planning. In 2018 David sold his business to the largest private equity-backed distributor in the US, and upon completion of the sale, joined the acquiring organization as Sr. Vice-President of Sales.

Stephanie Studt also joined Blue River’s Buy-Side Division in April, as Vice President. She brings experience in leadership, business development, brand strategy, and customer relations. Stephanie received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI, where she spent her summers interning at Blue River. Post-graduation, Stephanie joined the Blue River team as a Marketing Associate. After several years with the firm in various roles, including Marketing and Business Development, Stephanie left Blue River to pursue a career in automotive brand management. She decided to come back to Blue River as an M&A Advisor and is thrilled to be back at the firm.

Maryann Hagan joined Blue River in May, as Bookkeeping and HR Administrator. She brings over 20 years of Human Resources and Bookkeeping experience with a strong focus on providing accuracy and organization. Maryann has a BA Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. In her previous roles she provided HR Administration for both corporate and manufacturing at an automotive supplier, including onboarding, benefit support, recruiting, and training. Before joining Blue River, Maryann has worked for small businesses providing bookkeeping and administrative support.
